Pistol Combat rules will govern.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to any member
of the NRA, eligible under rule 2.1 and 2.4 of the current NRA Police Pistol
Combat Rule Book. Rule 2.4.1 will be in
effect.
ENTRIES: Entries to the
individual events may be made by using the enclosed entry form accompanied by
the appropriate fee. Pre-registration is
suggested but not required. Return entry forms to:

Matches are available on Friday July 21, 2006, Please Contact
RELAY SQUADDING: Squadding for
individual relays will be made at the registration desk on a first come, first
served basis. Registration will begin at
0800 both days. Pre-Squadding
is available for those travel great distances, please contact
MATCH SCHEDULE:
Match
1 Two Stages of 12 shots fired double action from the standing without support position. First stage fired
at 7 yards and second stage fired at 15 yards. Twenty seconds per stage.
Match 2
6 shots kneeling; 6 shots left handed with support; 6 shots right hand standing with support.
All shots are fired double action from the 25 yard line. Time limit is 90 seconds.
Match 3
6 shots sitting; 6 shots prone; 6 shots left hand standing with support; 6 shots right hand standing with
support. Shots may be fired single or double action. Time limit is 2 minutes and 45 seconds with all
shots fired fromthe 50 yard line.
Match 4
Two stages of 12 shots each fired double action, standing without support, at the 25 yard line.
Time limit is 35 seconds for each stage of 12 shots.
Match
5 NRA National Police Course
Stage 1: 12 shots fired double action from the
7 yard line. Time limit is 20 seconds.
Stage 2: 6 shots kneeling; 6 shots left hand standing with support; 6 shots right hand standing
with support. All shots are fired double action from the 25 yard line. Time limit is 90 sec.
Stage 3: 6 shots sitting; 6 shots prone; 6 shots left hand standing with support; 6 shots right hand
standing with support. Shots may be fired single or double action. Time limit is 2 minutes
and 24 seconds with all shots fired from the 50 yard line.
Stage 4 6 shots fired double action, standing without support, from the 25 yard line.
Match 6 Individual Police Combat Course Championship: and aggregate of each competitors score in Matches
1-5.
Match 7 4 Person Team Match. Each competitor will fire the National Police Course (Match 5). No 'pick-up'
teams will be allowed. No individual can fire in both, Matches 7 and 8.
Match 8 2 Person Team Match. Each competitor will fire the National Police Course (Match 5). No 'pick-up'
teams will be allowed. No individual can fire in both, Matches 7 and 8. No agency will be allowed to enter
more than one team in this match.
Match 9 Distinguished Match (revolver
/ semi-auto). Each competitor will fire
the National Police Course
(Match 5). All rules regarding Distinguished Matches and equipment will be enforced.
CLASSIFICATION: Individual
competitors will be classified within six classes; High Master, Master, Expert,
Sharpshooter, Marksman or Classified.
Classification will be based on the NRA Police Pistol Combat
Classification system. Unclassified
shooters are required to compete in the High Master class. Team matches will be classified according to
rule 19.12.
CATEGORIES: Competitors will
not be divided into categories.
AWARDS: Awards will be
provided by the NRA and the match sponsor.
EQUIPMENT AND AMMUNITION: Current NRA rules
in section 3 of the Police Pistol Combat Rule Book will apply.
LOADING: All loading will be
with cartridges taken from the competitor's pocket, cartridge belt, mechanical
loaders or pouches. It is the
competitor's responsibility to have sufficient ammunition in their possession
to complete the event. All loading will
be with six cartridges. Time for
reloading is included in the time for each stage or match.
TIME: Time will be
announced for each stage or match. Time
will start with a loaded gun in the holster.
Competitors must stand erect with both hands at their side, without
touching the gun or holster, until the command to fire has been given.
TARGETS: NRA B-27E targets
will be used. Use of an additional
aiming mark or marking is prohibited.
SIGHTING SHOTS: No sighting shots
will be allowed.
DRY FIRING: In the interest of
safety, dry firing will be permitted only on the firing line or other
designated area at the discretion of the Rangemaster.
REFIRES: No refires will be allowed for defective guns or
ammunition, or other malfunctions of the shooter's equipment.
BREAKING TIES: When two or more
competitors have the same numerical score, scores will be ranked according to
rule 15.11.
CHALLENGES: A challenge fee of
$3.00 will be charged for each challenge.
Section 16 of the rule book will apply.
EYE AND EAR PROTECTION: Eye and ear
protection must be worn and will be supplied by the competitor.
