Annual Pistol Competition

30th Year Anniversary

Where:             Pontiac Police Headquarters, 110 E. Pike St. Pontiac, Michigan – Indoor Range

Times:                         Saturday          December 2, 2006                   9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

                                    Sunday                        December 3, 2006                   9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Competitor     

Eligibility:       Any Person familiar with the indoor PPC course.

 

Entry Fee:       $35.00 U.S. funds for pre-registered shooters.  Money must be received by November 30, 2006.  $40.00 U.S. funds at the door. Canadian shooters please pay in U.S. currency, no checks.

 

Checks:           Payable to: Pontiac Police Memorial Fund.  All registered shooters have a chance to win a specially engraved shotgun recognizing this event.  “Budweiser / Hubert Distributors” has donated the cost of the shotgun and the detailing.

 

Equipment:      Open to all revolvers or semi-automatic pistols (minimum .38 caliber barrel length maximum 6 inches).  Eye and Ear protection is mandatory and must be provided by the competitor.  Questionable weapons must be cleared by the range officer prior to shooting.  Special note to semi-automatic; Please no more than 6 rounds in your gun at one time.  Ammunition may be hand or factory loaded wad cutter or semi-automatic wad cutter type.  No high speed, jacketed, or magnum ammunition.

 

Course of        

Fire:                Standard NRA indoor 50’ PPC course of 60 rounds fired at a B-27R target.

 

Scoring:           Targets will be scored by the competitors.  PPD Range officers will provide a scoring officer.  Challenges are $1.00 and will be decided by the scoring officer, whose decision is final.

 

Awards:           The Lewis System will be used to determine the winners.  5 classes; 4 places in each class, High Woman and High Canadian Shooter (All cash prizes)

 

Door Prizes:    Given away at banquet, you must be present to win.

 

Banquet:          The award banquet will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at the Lafayette Grande, 1 Lafayette St  Pontiac, MI 48342.  The hall opens at 5 p.m. and the dinner will be served at 6 p.m.

                        **PLEASE NOTE: EXTRA MEAL TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE SHOOT OR AT THE HALL AT A COST OF $10.00 PER TICKET.
