Police Pistol Combat Match
Revolver and Semi Auto 1500, Team Matches, Distinguished Matches

The
lower range will be used.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to Law Enforcement, Corrections
and Security Personnel. Open to
civilians and MPCPA members. This is a National Rifle Association registered PPC
match.
ADVANCE
ENTRIES: Reservations –
Entries prior to July 1 will receive squadding preference. Entries may be made by using the enclosed
entry form with the appropriate fee. Pre
registration is suggested but not required.

REGISTRATION
FEE: $10.00 registration fee
MATCH ENTRY
FEE: $30.00 for the first 1500
aggregate, $20 for the 2nd 1500 aggregate. Team Matches are $5.00 per person. Distinguished Auto and Revolver matches are
$15.00 each.
RULES: Current National Rifle Association
Police Pistol Combat Rules will apply.
FIREARMS: Open Class Police Revolver (rule 3.2): revolver
chambered to fire center fire cartridges, barrel length not to exceed 6 inches,
sights may be fixed or adjustable, hooded or telescopic sights prohibited.
Single action trigger pull must be at least 2.5 pounds. All standard safety features of the pistol
must operate properly. Prohibited is any
system of recoil control including barrel venting or porting and/or
compensators.
Any
center-fire pistol (Open Class Semi-Automatic Pistol) (rule 3.3) Center fire
pistols of .35 caliber or larger, barrel not to exceed 6 inches, sights may be
fixed or adjustable. Hooded or
telescopic sights prohibited. Trigger
pull not less than 3.5 pounds single action.
All standard safety features of the pistol must operate properly. Prohibited is any system of recoil control
including barrel venting or porting and/or compensators. All double action semi-automatic pistols must
fire the first shot of every match double action.
Questionable
equipment will be governed and decided by the match director, per NRA rulebook.
EQUIPMENT AND
AMMUNITION: Ammunition will be of hand-loaded or factory
loaded 32 caliber or larger. No high
speed or magnum ammo will be allowed. No
cross draw holsters allowed. Current NRA
rules in section 3 of the Police Pistol Combat Rule Book will apply. Questionable equipment or ammunition will be
decided by the match director, per NRA rulebook. Eye protection and hearing protection is mandatory.
TARGETS: Official NRA B-27
silhouette target.
CHALLENGES: Challenges will be handled by the Match
Director. Challenge fees will be
$3.00.
CLASSIFICATION: NRA PPC classification system will
apply. Classification must be declared at the time of registration. If there
are less than four (4) competitors per classification, those competitors will
move up one classification for awards only.
Unclassified shooters are required to compete in the High Master
Class. Team Matches will be classified
according to rule 19.12.
COURSE OF FIRE: NRA National Police Course.
Match
1: Two stages of 12 shots fired double action from the standing without support, First stage fired
at 7 yards, second stage fired at 15 yards. 20 seconds per stage from a holstered
position.
Match
2: 6 shots kneeling, 6 shots standing
left hand with support (barricade), 6 shots standing right hand with support (barricade),
90 seconds from a holstered position. All shots double action.
Match
3: 6 shots sitting, 6 shots prone, 6
shots left hand supported (barricade), 6 shots right hand supported (barricade). Time allowed = 2 minutes 45 seconds from a
holstered position. All shots fired from 50 yards single or double action.
Match
4: Two stages of 12 shots each, fired double action, standing without support, 25
yards, 35 seconds for each stage from a holstered position.

5: NRA Police Course, stage
Match
6: Aggregate of matches 1 through
5.
TEAM MATCHES
Team
Matches will be non-fired matches and must be declared at the time of
registration, prior to firing the match.
Scores from Match 5 individual course will be used.
DISTINGUISHED
MATCHES
Revolver
and Semi Auto distinguished matches will be shot throughout each day. Each competitor will fire the National Police
Course (Match 5). All rules regarding
Distinguished matches will be enforced.
Triggers will be weighed.
AWARDS: Awards will be provided by the NRA and
the match sponsor. There will be a
drawing for a FIREARM(S)
FACILITIES: There are twelve uncovered firing
points with turning targets. The firing
line is sand/grass. There are porta
potties and drinking water available.
